C3 User Guide

Linak Modbus enabled actuator

Description

The Linak LA-35 and LA-36 series of linear actuators can be used to open, close or

position irrigation gates and valves.

Electrical connection

• Observant supports Modbus RS485 versions of the LA-35/36

• For situations where the actuator is powered from the C3 battery the

actuator enabled version of the C3 module must be used (C3-A)

• The Observant supplied Linak connection loom (LA-IK) provides an easy

way to make all of the connections between the actuator and the C3

module (Figure 29)

• RS485 Port 1 must be used in all cases where the C3-A is used
